Congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the Veterinary Research Institute of Eastern Siberia – Branch of the SFSCA RAS!
In 1964, the Chita Veterinary Research Station was established, which over the years has become a real outpost of academic agricultural science in the Far East.
It is impossible to estimate the contribution of the researchers of the Research Institute of Eastern Siberia, Branch of the SFSCA RAS, to agricultural production in the region, development of animal husbandry and its veterinary welfare. Fighting diseases of wild and domestic animals, development and implementation of modern technologies of farm animals breeding, selection work on breeds adapted to the climate of Eastern Siberia, development of technology for cultivation of high-yield fodder crops and improvement of natural fodder lands are the recognized merits of the scientific team, which has been repeatedly awarded with regional awards.
The Institute made a special contribution to the development of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, solving the most difficult issues of food security. Together with the scientific organizations of Eastern Siberia, medicines used in agricultural enterprises of Siberia and the Far East were created and successfully introduced into everyday use.
The Research Institute of Veterinary Science of Eastern Siberia – Branch of the SFSCA RAS have longstanding friendly ties with foreign partners from Mongolia and China.
Continuing scientific traditions, the staff of the Research Institute of Veterinary Science of Eastern Siberia – Branch of the SFSCA RAS is successfully solving the most important issues of food security of the country, successfully developing and implementing advanced technologies of animal husbandry. The staff of the Institute is respected and recognized by agro-industrialists, hunters, ecologists, all people who are not indifferent to the preservation and multiplication of unique natural resources of Eastern Siberia and the Far East.
