A delegation from North Korea visited the SFSCA RAS. During the meeting, the scientists discussed a plan for joint research into agricultural crop breeding and exchanged experiences in implementing advanced technical processes.
The following SFSCA RAS scientists presented thematic reports to their North Korean colleagues:
1. Victor Valentinovich Alt, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Siberian Physical-Technical Institute of the SFSCA RAS, Professor, Doctor of Science in Engineering
2. Revmira Ivanovna Polyudina, Head of the Breeding Center of the SFSCA RAS, Doctor of Science in Agriculture
3. Albina Afanasyevna Danilova, Laboratory Head, Doctor of Science in Biology, Head Researcher
4. Sergey Aleksandrovich Kolbin, Lead Researcher, Candidate of Science in Agriculture, Laboratory of Soil Fertility of the SFSCA RAS
5. Irina Valerievna Andreeva, Candidate of Science in Agriculture, Head of the Laboratory of Biological Control of Phytophages and Phytopathogens of the SFSCA RAS.
The visit also included an attendance to the Kemerovo Research Institute of Agriculture, a branch of the SFSCA RAS, and a discussion on the creation of a joint potato laboratory.
Guests were presented with a range of potato varieties and hybrids, 11 samples in total.
Early varieties: Lyubava, Pamyati Anoshkinoi; Middle-early varieties: Kemerovchanin, Kuznechanka, Tanai, Kuzbassky, Nevsky, Sibirsky, and Salair; medium-maturing: Tuleevsky; hybrids: 1/5-3-13 and 51-13.
