At the Laboratory of Automation of Microclonal Propagation at SFSCA RAS, scientists carry out research aimed at improving potato cultivation technologies. They do microclonal propagation of the culture, as well as the subsequent adaptation of regenerants in agrobiological setups under controlled environmental conditions.
At the same time, research is being carried out on the cultivation of medicinal plants, including Scutellaria baicalensis (Baikal skullcap), Saposhnikovia divaricata, Rhaponticum carthamoides (Maral root), and Artemisia annua (annual wormwood). In the future, it is planned to expand the range of cultivated medicinal species.
To achieve maximum cultivation process productivity, strict control of key environmental parameters is ensured, and experimental studies are carried out with variations in watering regimes.
