Let’s flip through the pages of the information portal for 2025 and recall the main events of the past period.
65 types of completed scientific products, using the materials from previous years, were created at the SFSCA RAS last year.
· Based on the research results, 306 scientific articles were published and 71 were published in print, including:
· in the leading Russian and international journals – 125 and 44 in print,
· in the journals from the RSCI core – 92 and 46 in print,
· in the journals indexed on the RSCI platform – 104 and 42 in print,
· in the publications indexed in the Web of Science database – 19 and 9 in print,
· in Scopus – 24 and 3 in print.
Published: 4 monographs and books, 1 monograph chapter, and 10 methodological manuals and recommendations. As of the reporting date, 16 patents and eight certificates have been received, and 26 patent and certificate applications have been submitted. The number of developments implemented in agricultural production by 2025 through the conclusion of business and licensing agreements is 86.
Conducted: 10 scientific and practical conferences, including 3 international ones; 1 seminar; 125 consultations on agricultural production issues have been held; 29 SFSCA RAS scientific workers have received advanced training; 6 scientific and analytical reports have been made.

The Directorate of the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SFSCA RAS) proposed a project "Renaming the streets of Krasnoobsk in honor of the outstanding scientists of the Siberian Branch of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences".
The Federal Research Center "Fundamentals of Biotechnology" of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FRC Biotechnology RAS) and the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SFSCA RAS) have signed an agreement on joint scientific and technical activities in the field of biotechnology, the development of new methods of plant protection, the creation of new generation microbiological plant protection products, and instrumental and experimental-technical cooperation.
At a meeting of the Academic Council of the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, candidates were nominated for election to membership and corresponding membership of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Delight, admiration, and a desire to learn even more about the amazing world of nature!" – more than two and a half thousand schoolchildren, teachers, and parents visited the third popular science forum "May Bug" at the SFSCA RAS.
Scientists from the Kemerovo Research Institute of Agriculture, a branch of the SFSCA RAS, conducted a culinary evaluation of new potato varieties.

SFSCA RAS and Harbin Scientific and Technical Company “Leshi” signed a scientific and technical cooperation agreement.
Junior researchers of the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the Siberian Research and Design and Technological Institute of Animal Husbandry SFSCA RAS (SRDTIAH) completed an internship in the SES “Industrial Biotechnology of Natural Raw Materials” at the REC Advanced Engineering School “Agrobiotech”.
The SFSCA RAS Council for the Implementation of Scientific Developments in the Agricultural Sector will ensure communication between scientific organizations and the real sector of the economy.

SFSCA RAS is developing cooperation with agricultural organizations in the Republic of Buryatia. During the meeting between the SFSCA RAS Director Kirill Golokhvast and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Buryatia Amgalan Dymchikovich Darmaev, the possibilities of attracting targeted regional subsidies for the development of primary seed production and breeding work at the Buryat Research Institute of Agriculture were discussed.
Hundreds of gardeners took part in the “Scientific Garden” exhibition and fair held by the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
SFSCA RAS and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan are planning to develop scientific cooperation.

At the initiative of Kirill Golokhvast, Director SFSCA RAS, a "Linden Alley dedicated to front-line scientists" was built along the experimental fields of the Siberian Agricultural Center for the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
At the invitation of the Republic of Belarus, on May 29–30, 2025, a delegation from the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SB RAS), headed by Director K.S. Golokhvast, attended the international scientific conference "Radiobiology and Environmental Safety – 2025" at the Institute of Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
SFSCA RAS is developing cooperation with the Gorno-Altaisk State University.
SFSCA RAS scientists have received a patent for a method for breeding an entomophagous plant-eating bug, the Trissolcus oviparus, designed to control the population of such dangerous agricultural pests as the tortoiseshell bug, the berry bug, the line shield bug, and other insects.
Scientist Bair Mannaevna Ludu of the Tuva Research Institute of Agriculture, a branch of the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, published an article in which she described the phenotypic characteristics of meat breeds bred in Tuva.
The patent "DEFINITION OF GARDEN STRAWBERRY DISEASE" was developed by the SFSCA RAS scientists.

Scientists and residents of Krasnoobsk took part in the grand opening of the "Allegory of the Earth" fountain, built at the initiative of the SFSCA RAS. Its décor includes a sculpture based on the work by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Georgy Vartanovich Frangulyan.
The Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences continues innovative research into identifying strawberry diseases using drones and multispectral imaging.
The Siberian Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (SibNIIESKH) of the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences hosted an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the institute's 70th anniversary.

Residents of Krasnoobsk celebrated the 55th anniversary of the workers' settlement. Work teams and employees of educational, scientific, and medical institutions took part in the celebratory procession. Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, and Doctor of Science in Engineering Viktor Valentinovich Alt congratulated the residents of the settlement on the anniversary. In his speech, he recalled the ambitious goals for which the Siberian Branch of the All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VASKhNIIL) was created and the contributions of the scientific organization's founders to the settlement's creation.

During the “Technoprom” International Forum of Technological Development, the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin signed an agreement on cooperation and joint scientific and technical activities in the field of life sciences, the development of new sovereign technologies for processing agricultural products, rational use of natural resources, and instrumentation and experimental-technical interaction.
The Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SFSCA RAS) held a meeting with the representatives of delegations from several African countries participating in the “Technoprom-2025” International Fund of Agricultural Development (IFAD). The event focused on presenting the Centre's scientific achievements and discussing the possibilities of joint projects in agriculture, livestock farming, and other areas.

Representatives from the Agro-Environmental Protection Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Tianjin, People's Republic of China, paid a familiarization visit to the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SFSCA RAS). The meeting marked an important step in strengthening international cooperation in agriculture and agrobiotechnology.
The Novosibirsk Region's first snail race, "I am not a slowcoach!", took place at the SFSCA RAS House of Scientists. Timed to coincide with the All-Russian Science 0+ Festival, the event brought together hundreds of schoolchildren and residents eager to not only learn new things but also share stories about their pets.

The Siberian Agro-Food Forum is taking place in Novosibirsk—the central regional venue for summing up the past agricultural season and formulating strategic objectives for the further development of the agro-industrial complex. The Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences presented "space technologies" for agricultural production.

Academician Alexander Semenovich Donchenko and the permanent head of the “Kolos Sibiri” journal, Olga Pavlovna Teploukhova, have passed away.
A delegation from North Korea visited the SFSCA RAS. During the meeting, scientists discussed a plan for joint research into agricultural crop breeding and exchanged experiences in implementing advanced technical processes.
