Students from the Siberian State University of Geosystems and Technologies are undergoing an internship at the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Digitalization SFSCA RAS. The internship is organized under a cooperation agreement between the Center and the university.
The students work under the supervision of the institute specialists and master modern technologies for collecting and processing spatial data. The internship program includes three key areas: students master unmanned aerial photography technologies using a DJI Phantom 4 Multispectral quadcopter. Their tasks include flight planning, surveying, and subsequent processing of the obtained materials to create orthophotomaps and digital terrain models.
Future specialists also learn to conduct field work in industrial and stationary experiments, work with modern equipment, and collect field data for further office processing. One of the most important areas is mastering the methods for interpreting and classifying various spatial objects based on Earth remote sensing data. Students work with current satellite images and apply modern analysis algorithms. Internships at the Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Digitalization will allow students to gain real-world production experience, work with professional equipment, and learn from scientists working in this field.
