The conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the RAS Academician Petr Mikhailovich Pershukevich was held on September 21, 2023 in the SFSCA RAS.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference "COMPLEX DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL TERRITORIES OF THE SIBERIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT" was held with the participation of scientists, university professors, and public authorities.
The plenary session was opened by Kirill Sergeevich Golokhvast, Director of the SFSCA RAS, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Science in Biology, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who noted the great relevance of research on integrated development of rural areas of the Siberian Federal District.

This conference, besides the traditional function of any scientific forum to discuss research results and attract attention to unsolved problems, fulfills a very important task to preserve and develop the scientific heritage of the RAS Academician Pershukevich P.M., which is vivid evidence of the continuity of the best traditions in the research community.
The conference was actively attended by more than 50 people interested in research on this problem. The representative composition of the conference participants and the topics of the reports convincingly testify to the high scientific level of the event and genuine interest in the issues of integrated rural development considered at the conference, the importance and significance of which go beyond the Siberian Federal District.
