The Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation issued a patent for invention No. 2859429 dated 04/01/2026 “Method for the treatment of acute disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in calves.” The authors are candidate of science in biology, leading researcher Savelyeva L.N. and junior researcher Bondarchuk M.L.
The invention relates to veterinary medicine and can be used for the treatment of acute disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in calves.
The developed method of treatment is as follows: the drug - aqueous extracts from plant materials with the addition of sodium chloride and a probiotic mixed with colostrum is fed to calves at a dose of 2 ml/kg of live weight twice a day, with an interval of 12 hours, until clinical recovery.
The results of clinical studies indicate the high therapeutic and economic efficiency of the developed treatment method, which helps to increase the safety of livestock and improve the quality of livestock products from the point of view of their environmental safety.
