The main scientific results of Ivanov N.M.:

- theoretical and experimental substantiation of the system of technological and technical support of the processes of complex mechanization of agricultural production, including post-harvest processing of grain and seeds in Siberia conditions is given

- energy and resource saving technology of post-harvest grain processing, combining preliminary cleaning and energy-saving drying in a single technological process, has been developed

- technological schemes, design and mode parameters of technical means based on the use of complex inertial-gravity force fields have been justified

- energy-saving technological schemes have been developed, design and technological parameters of the dryers based on block-modular design, partial heat recovery, multilayer inversion of grain streams have been substantiated. Their serial production has been organized.

Under the guidance and scientific advice of Ivanov N.M. 1 doctoral dissertation and 4 candidate dissertations have been defended.

Ivanov N.M. is the member of the Bureau of the Coordination Council of the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the Joint Scientific Council of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Agricultural Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, Chairman of the Dissertation Council D002.278.01 at the Siberian Federal Scientific Centre of Agro-BioTechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, member of the Dissertation Council D212.004.02, Professor of the Department of Machine and Tractor Fleet Operation of the Novosibirsk State Agrarian University, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region.
